This small gem was constructed by Pete Nelson and a friend while Pete
spent the year with his Family in Barcelona. Reminiscent of the
treehouses of old, when a father and son built their arboreal suite
from old building parts and pieces salvaged from the backyard, this
project was made from 100% salvaged materials left in the back ally's
and dumpsters of this busy city. Pete painted these rescued pieces
with portraits and landscapes, and under cover of the night, hoisted
them into this tree in the middle of a city park. Pete and his
Pal, like Peter and his lost boys, high in their perch, watched the
city below come to life the next morning.text
